Attendance Allowance was a benefit where if you were State Pension age you could get extra money if you had personal care and/or supervision needs due to a physical or mental health problem.
Pension Age Disability Payment is replacing Attendance Allowance in Scotland. You do not need to do anything if you already get Attendance Allowance. You cannot get Pension Age Disability Payment and Attendance Allowance or Adult Disability Payment or Personal Independence Payment or Disability Living Allowance at the same time.
If you already get Attendance Allowance
Social Security Scotland will move your benefit to Pension Age Disability Payment without you having to do anything.
There will be no gap in your entitlement or change to your award.
You do not need to make a new application for Pension Age Disability Payment if you already get Attendance Allowance.
You cannot get Pension Age Disability Payment and Attendance Allowance at the same time.
You'll keep getting Attendance Allowance until your Pension Age Disability Payment starts.

If you do not already get Attendance Allowance or Adult Disability Payment or Personal Independence Payment or Disability Living Allowance you can apply for Pension Age Disability Payment online.
