Information on the Garden Maintenance Scheme
Who is the Scheme for?
Previously, the scheme was open to Perth & Kinross Council tenants aged 65 or over, and tenants under 65 who are physically disabled also qualified. However, following a decision by Councillors in January 2025 the Garden Maintenance Scheme will be available to all Perth and Kinross tenants who wish to use the service.
What does the Scheme do?
The Garden Maintenance Service provides:
- Grass cut every fortnight between April and October (weather permitting)
- Grass edges strimmed at alternative cuts (edges will not be strimmed if you have a stone chipped border)
- Cuttings bagged and removed
How much will it cost me?
There is a charge of £8.73 per week (£453.96 per year) for this service.
There is an additional annual charge of £46.80 for hedge cutting.
How do I apply?
Applications for the 2025 service will open in March 2025.
