Perth & Kinross Council offer a general waste skip hire service to householders and businesses where recyclable and compostable materials are separated from general waste.
Skip Hire Provision
We are currently struggling to fulfil skip hire requests due to the current strain on resources. Our Operations Team have prioritised the transfer of waste/recycling from our depots and Recycling Centres to ensure our kerbside services and bring-to sites remain operating as usual.
Customers can still contact and make their request, however please note that provision will depend on available resources.
Skips available
Before being issued with a skip for general waste, both householders and businesses should achieve a 70% recycling target.

Recycling options
Recycling "bells", such as those used at Recycling Points, can also be hired. These are subject to availability, and site assessment. Please contact the Commercial Waste Team by completing a general enquiry form or phone 01738 476476 for further information.
Pricing
Prices are per week (7 days) based on zones indicating distance from depot. Prices are exclusive of VAT, final disposal and landfill tax.

Notes on the use of skips
- Skips must be level-loaded at all times
- Paint, asbestos and fluorescent light tubes are expressly forbidden as these are hazardous wastes.
- Soil and earth disposal may limit the size of skip due to weight restrictions.
