Some paths are ideally suited for those who are less able to cross rough ground. The paths featured here are especially suitable for those in wheelchairs, those with young children either in prams or who are learning to walk or cycle, and anyone who is unsure of their footing.
The paths listed below detail some of the more accessible paths on council land and links are provided to some additional paths. Locations of the nearest car park and public toilet is given. The links offer photographs and mapping information of the paths where available, these can be used to judge the nature of the individual paths.
Aberfeldy
Lower Birks
The path has a firm surface, gradients are fairly gentle within the Lower Birks. Entry to the Lower or 'Wee Birks' is from Bridgend near the Square through the Memorial Arch. The path gives access to a bridge and viewpoint of the Moness Burn. A set of steps lead on to cross the road then to the car park to the Birks of Aberfeldy.

Upper Birks & Tree Trail
The car park area of the Birks of Aberfeldy has a level tree trail and picnic area. The path up the Birks is fairly easy at the lower section and most walkers will be able to reach the Burns character on his seated view of the burn. As the path climbs it gets steeper with several sets of steep steps allowing high views of the top most falls. The top falls can also be reached via the Urlar Road and a short link path.

Dunkeld
The Hermitage
Level, firm surface in wooded area to the famous viewpoint of Ossians Hall where spectacular falls of the River Braan can be easily reached. Please see photo trail for further information.

Pitlochry
Recreation Park
A level, surfaced riverside path with a link over the suspension bridge to the Festival Theatre and dam.
