A weekly session which supports parents/carer and their children to learn together while having fun.
What is Peep?
Our Peep programmes are delivered during term time in various venues throughout Perth and Kinross.
Peep is an early learning project which celebrates parents and carers as children's first educators while promoting the Home Learning Environment. The programmes offer parents and carers the opportunity to share experiences and ideas in a safe and supported environment.
Our Peep programmes offer fun and informal 1 hour weekly sessions for parents/carers with babies, toddlers and preschool children. Each session includes:
- singing & rhyme time
- storytime
- talk time for parents
- ideas for fun play activities which enhance children's learning
Each week we cover a different topic from one of the following strands of learning and development:
- personal, social and emotional development
- communication and language
- early literacy
- early maths
health and physical development
Baby Peep
Our baby peep groups are for parents/carers with children under the age of 1. They follow the same format as our other Peep groups with a focus on how parents/carers can use a treasure pouch to support their baby's development.
We run our Baby Peep groups throughout the year at various venues around Perth and Kinross.
Parents who wish to continue their learning further can do so by joining a Peep Progression Pathway Programme.
