Purpose
This Briefing Note is to raise awareness of a new piece of government funded work being undertake in partnership with Perth Autism Support (opens new window).

Background
Perth Autism Support, working in partnership with Perth and Kinross Council, have recently been successful in their application to the Workplace Equality Fund to develop appropriate support for autistic and neurodivergent individuals in employment and through the vacancy application process.
Activity
This work will take place over a two year period and will work with identified teams within the Council as well as the Human Resources team to review current practice - including gathering direct feedback from employees and applicants. The output from this review will facilitate the development of support for autistic and neurodivergent employees throughout the Council as well as a suite of support for recruiting managers and applicants.

A further update will be provided once the project plan and related communications plan has been finalised.
