To provide an update on the appointment of the Director of Strategy, People & Resources in the new Strategic Leadership Structure of the Council. A copy of the announcement which has been shared is included below.

Appointment - Director Strategy, People & Resources

Congratulations to Clare Mailer who has been appointed to our new role of Director Strategy, People & Resources as part of the executive and strategic leadership review. Clare has been the Executive Lead, Strategic Planning and Transformation since July 2022 and prior to this was Depute Director Communities. Clare will take up this appointment on 1 September.

In this new role, Clare will operate within the new Executive Team and support a portfolio of Strategic Leads with responsibility for Customer & Digital Services, Finance & Business Support, Legal & Governance, Property Services, Strategic Planning, People & Performance and Projects and Programmes (interim arrangement). In addition, Clare will have strategic oversight for the two of the Council's corporate priorities - Tackling Poverty and Working in Partnership with Communities. This role acts as a strategic enabler for delivering the Council priorities and is proactive in supporting services to deliver our ambitious Transformation & Change programme.
