Rotmell Road repairs completed in time for Easter holidays

Perth and Kinross Council is pleased to confirm the re-opening of the Rotmell Road between Dunkeld and the junction with the A9, following extensive damage during Storm Babet in October 2023.

A large section of the road washed out at Ledpetty Bridge was reconstructed and embankments affected by landslips have been stabilised using gabion basket retaining walls and regrading of the embankment.

At the same time, and taking advantage of the road closure we have cleared culverts and gullies, along with resurfacing and patching sections of the road. Extensive tree removal work on the slopes has additionally been carried out by Atholl Estates and we would like to thank them for their co-operation in completing the works.

We also very much appreciate the local community's patience during these works, which were completed allowing for the road to reopen on Thursday 28 March 2024, in time for the start of the Easter holidays.
