This summer has already seen a fantastic array of events, bringing excitement and joy to the area.

Provost Xander McDade expressed his delight, saying: "It's been wonderful to see everyone out and about, enjoying themselves in our area. I was particularly thrilled to see Perth Museum welcome its 100,000 visitors on 3 July, marking an outstanding success for the city.

"With the arrival of hairy highland coos as part of Children's Hospices Across Scotland trail, there has been a palpable buzz around Perth and our rural towns. Many visitors and children have delighted in the wonderful designs of the Coos.

"As part of the Amazing August line up, the City of Perth Salute will take place on Sunday 4 August, commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The Sunday will feature a parade, military bands, the Rock Choir and special performances from the Red-Hot Chilli Pipers and The Imps Motorcycle Display Team.

"A warm welcome is extended to the European Pipe Bands, arriving in Perth for the European Pipe Band Championships, a highlight of the Perth Highland Games on Sunday 11 August.

"Dunkeld will serve as the stunning backdrop for a weekend dedicated to bringing women together for an inspirational weekend of mountain biking, skills coaching, wellbeing workshops and more from Friday 9 until Sunday 11 August.

"Adding more vibrancy, the Mela Festival on 17 August and Perthshire Pride on 10 August will bring two dates on fun, music, and joy.

"Scotland's national Ukrainian celebration will take place on 24 August, providing a fantastic way to show support for Ukrainians living in our area and across Scotland.

"Perth Show returns on Saturday 3 August. Residents in Perth and Kinross will be able to hop onboard their local bus to the show on Saturday 3 August, as part of our "First Saturday Free" bus travel initiative.
