Purpose
This briefing is to further update Elected Members on a technical issue which has affected our Community Alarm system this weekend.
Briefing Information
As we informed you in EMB 034-25, the Community Alarm system has been experiencing a technical issue caused by a problem with the national digital network.
This resulted in connectivity issues, where call handlers could hear clients, but clients could not hear our call handlers.
We are happy to report that as of last night the system has been restored and is operating as normal.
Thanks to the efforts of our Community Alarm staff to protect vulnerable residents there were no missed calls because of the problem. All calls were connecting, and our team were logging and calling all service users/keyholders and emergency contacts back following a call.
