Over the next few days there will be a number of events around Perth and Kinross to mark Remembrance Day and recognise the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts:
Saturday 8 November 2025, 10.45am - Wreath Laying at the Tri-Service War Memorial, St John Street, Perth. This event is organised by the Association of Perth Veterans. Provost of Perth and Kinross Xander McDade and Major Charles Dunphie DL will lay wreaths.
Sunday 9 November 2025 - Remembrance services will take place across Perth and Kinross which will be attended by the Provost, local Councillors, serving and retired military personnel and other community organisations. The Society of High Constables of the City of Perth will support remembrance events throughout Perth and Kinross.
In Perth, the Remembrance Sunday service will take place at St John's Kirk starting at 10.45am. After the service, there will be the March past of military personnel on Tay Street and the Salute will be taken at the viewing point/Saluting Dais. Wreaths will be laid during the service.
Immediately following the march past and taking of the salute, wreaths will be laid at the 51st Highland Memorial on the North Inch by Brigadier Mark Dodson DL, the Provost and the Commanding Officer of 7 Scots.
Tuesday 11 November 2025, 10.30am - Remembrance Day service at Bowerswell House, Bowerswell Road, Perth. The Provost and Brigadier Mark Dodson DL will lay wreaths.
Tuesday 11 November 2025, 11am - Pullars Annual Remembrance Service, at the war memorial on the front of Pullar House, Kinnoull Street, Perth. The Council's Armed Forces and Veterans Champion, Bailie Chris Ahern, Armed Forces will lay a wreath.
