Pay by RingGo

You can pay for your parking across Perth and Kinross using RingGo cashless parking in all on-street and Council-run car parks (excluding Bells Sports Centre and Canal Street Multi-Storey Car Park).

To use RingGo, download their app onto your Smartphone or register online at https://myringgo.co.uk/park.  You need to provide details of your car registration number, the make and colour of your car, and securely add your card details.  Once you have registered, you can pay for your parking through this app or by calling RingGo on 0203 046 0010.

You can use a number of WiFi hotspots and 4G mobile wireless coverage to download and access the Smartphone app.

Each parking area has its own special location code.  Your Smartphone should automatically pick up this area code by GPS, but if not, there are signs on all on and off street parking with the code number on it for you to take a note of.

There is a 20p convenience charge on top of your fare, an optional 10p booking confirmation SMS and 10p for a reminder text from RingGo 10 minutes before your digital ticket expires.  This excess charge goes directly to RingGo and not to Perth & Kinross Council.

15 minutes of free parking

All 3 zones allow 15 minutes of free parking.  This only applies to Council-run car parks and on-street parking spaces.  A valid ticket must be displayed and can be acquired free of charge by pressing the button on the ticket issuing machine, with the exception of the below car park.

For Canal Street Multi-Storey Car Park, which is a pay-on-foot car park, present your ticket at the exit barrier up to 15 minutes after entry.  Please do not present your ticket at the paystation if your length of stay is 15 minutes or less, as this may charge you for up to one hour of parking.

Only one free 15-minute ticket can be obtained per parking period - failure to comply may result in a PCN being issued to your vehicle.

Disabled parking

Free parking spaces exclusively for the use of blue badge holders are provided on various city centre streets and in most Council operated car parks.

Blue badge holders are permitted to park in any Council controlled on or off-street parking bay free of charge.

Blue badge holders may also park at other on-street locations subject to the normal conditions of use of their badges.

View the Blue Badge Scheme page for more information.

Urban Clearway

There is a 24/7 urban clearway (No Stopping) in force on the A85 and B9993 around McDiarmid Park to combat dangerous parking particularly on match days. Our Parking Attendants regularly patrol the area, especially on matchdays to combat discriminative parking.

Drivers are reminded to be mindful and plan ahead when visiting the area.  We also politely request that drivers do not use the nearby crematorium as a parking area as there may be services taking place and parking here can cause unnecessary delays and obstructions at an already difficult time for families.

Electric vehicles

Electric vehicles are not exempt from Pay & Display charges, even when using chargers located within a Pay & Display bay.  Charges normally apply Monday - Saturday between 8am - 6pm but you should check signs in each location.

View the Electric Vehicle page for more information on EV chargers.
