Following successful grassland management trials carried out in 2021, we extended this to cover 42 sites throughout 2022.

This webpage provides a record of the sites which were part of our 2022 public consultation.
To help support our statutory duty to address climate change we began a trial of alternative maintenance at some of our parks and open spaces in 2021. Following on from that we ran a public consultation throughout the Spring and Summer of 2022 with favourable results. These results have been summarised in our Elected Member Briefing - Grow Wild for Perth and Kinross
Wildlife and biodiversity monitoring
To help us plan how we can best support nature in future, we monitored the flora and fauna at each of the trial sites so as to discover whether or not the sites are improving for biodiversity in subsequent years of altered management.
