Funding Scotland

The SCVO's (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations) Funding Scotland tool is an online funding database and valuable resource for charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations of all shapes and sizes. You can also register as a member or supporter of the SCVO to gain access to further information and up-to-date funding bulletins.

Common Good Funds

How to apply

To apply to the Common Good and Kinross Common Good funding schemes, you must complete the common good application form (Word doc) [4MB]  and the additional form for capital projects (Word doc) [118KB] .

Aberfeldy, Abernethy, Auchterarder, Alyth, Blairgowrie, Crieff, Kinross, Perth City and Pitlochry all have Common Good Funds. The Common Good Funds, with the exception of Kinross, fund projects that provide community benefits for the people (including individuals or a group of people) who live in the former burgh served by relevant Common Good Fund Committee. The Kinross Common Good Fund provides funding of any activity which is beneficial to the interests of the inhabitants of Kinross.

Rural Events Fund

Funding may be available to support the running of events outwith Perth city centre through our rural events funding. Applications are considered for new events which are intended to be annually occurring and which can demonstrate community support or need. Full criteria and details are contained within the  Rural Events Fund application form (Word doc) [101KB] . Applications should be submitted at least three months before the event date.

Please note that potential applicants are advised to contact the Council's Business Development Team on 01738 477952 before completing the application form to discuss the events and the requirements.

Adult Learning in the Community Fund 2024 to 2025 (closed)

The fund is now closed, with all funding fully allocated.

Charitable and Public Trusts administered by Perth and Kinross Council

These grants are for individuals in need and applications for funding are administered by the Welfare Rights Team. The available funding is fully committed for the foreseeable future and the Fund is currently closed to applications from charitable groups.

When we can help

  • Core working hours are 9am to 5pm on weekdays, however we are very flexible with evenings and weekends to respond to the needs of communities.
  • Our Community Learning and Development workers across Perth and Kinross will support you in a variety of flexible ways to meet the needs of your group: face-to-face meetings, online meetings, visit to group premises.
