Tayside plan for infants, children, young people and families

The  Tayside Plan for Infants, Children, Young People and Families 2023 - 2026 (PDF) [980KB] is the third joint plan to be produced by the three Community Planning areas of Angus, Dundee and Perth and Kinross. It reflects shared leadership towards multi-agency cross-border collaboration in the planning, management, commissioning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of services to children, young people and families, working to the vision that Tayside will be the best place to grow up.

The plan has been developed by the three Councils, NHS Tayside, Police Scotland, Health and Social Care Partnerships, the third sector and other organisations. The Plan takes full account of all national legislation, plans, policies, commitments and strategies. Some of the key drivers both national and local for this plan include: the Scottish Government Child Poverty Delivery Plan, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), Keeping the Promise Implementation Plan; Getting it Right for Every Child; and Delivering Excellence and Equity.

Over the lifetime of the 2023 - 2026 plan, the focus will be on;

  1. Our children will have the best start in life in a nurturing environment.
  2. Our children, young people and families will achieve and make positive contributions to communities.
  3. Our children will enjoy good physical and mental health.
  4. Our children and young people will have their rights protected and their voices heard.
  5. Our children and young people will be safe and loved.
