Crisis support service for North Perthshire

Call or text for support: 07917 243389

A new short-term pilot crisis support service for people living in North Perthshire began operating on Friday 13 March 2026 and will run until Sunday 28 June 2026.

The service is for anyone aged over 16 years who is experiencing difficulties with their mental health, mental wellbeing, substance use, and/or suicidal thoughts.

This pilot has been developed following community engagement and collaboration between the Council and key local partners. Feedback identified gaps in crisis support where people may not meet the threshold for NHS intervention but still need a compassionate, non‑judgmental response, with time to listen and explore the options available.

Over the sixteen‑week pilot period, the service will operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 8pm to 2am. Support will be provided by experienced social work staff with extensive training and skills who can respond in the following ways:

  • Phone support
  • Text message support
  • Outreach visits to people's homes
  • Walk‑ins to the Jessie Street office in Blairgowrie between 8.30pm and 1am (Adult Resource Centre, Jessie Street, Blairgowrie PH10 6BT)

To contact the service, call or text: 07917 243389.
