We understand that many households are experiencing uncertain times and struggling financially due to the current Cost of Living crisis. In response to this we have created a local fund which low-income households in Perth & Kinross can access for assistance. Households with no recourse to public funds can apply for assistance.
In order to make a decision on your application you must be able to show that you are in receipt of a low-income, this normally means that you are receiving a means-tested benefit e.g. Universal Credit or income-related Employment & Support Allowance.
You can apply to the fund if you need financial assistance with any of the following:

If you are in a crisis situation and need funds for day to day living expenses for essential items such as food, heating costs, nappies, toiletries and travel costs do not apply to the Financial Insecurity Fund. Apply for a Crisis Grant instead.

We aim to make decisions on applications within 15 working days from receipt of all evidence but due to the high volume of applications we are receiving decisions can take longer.
