Easter weekend arrangements
Council buildings are closed from 5pm on Thursday 3 April 2026 and will re-open on Tuesday 7 April at 8.45am. Bin collections and recycling centre opening hours are not impacted by these changes
Kerbside bin collections continue as normal over the Easter weekend. If you need to check your bin collection dates you can do so at any time on our online address checker. Recycling centre opening hours are also unchanged, you can check these on our find my nearest recycling centre or point tool.
To report non-emergency issues or make a service request MyPKC (opens new window) is available 24 hours a day all year round. Our emergency out of hours services can also be contacted using the details on this page.
The first day back after a long weekend like this is often very busy with callers to our Customer Service Centre. To avoid waiting in lengthy queues we recommend only contacting our Customer Service Centre for urgent matters on Tuesday 7 April. If you can use MyPKC (opens new window) instead or defer your call until later in the week.
