Travelling independently

There are various services offered to adults with a disability to enable them to travel independently.

Easy Read Logo
Staff in the Employment Support Team and the Social Work Team offer a training programme for adults with a learning disability who want to learn how to travel independently.

Public transportIf you have a disability and are resident in Scotland you could be entitled to free local and national bus travel.
Thistle assistance cardThis cards aims to help anyone who has difficulty using public transport because of their age, disability or illness.
Scot Talk AppThe Scot Talk Traveline Scotland app provides comprehensive travel information to help plan your journeys in Scotland.
Parking and the Blue Badge SchemeTo help disabled people who have severe mobility problems lead independent lives by allowing them to park near to a venue and have easier access to the services they want to use.
