EU Referendum

On 23 June 2016 a referendum was held on whether the UK should remain a member of the European Union.

Votes cast in Perth and Kinross:

  • Remain: 49,641
  • Leave: 31,614
  • Rejected: 39

The reasons for rejection were:

  • No official mark: 1
  • Voting for both answers to referendum question: 14
  • Anything by which voter can be identified: 0
  • Unmarked or void for uncertainty: 24

The turnout for Perth and Kinross has been confirmed as 73.8%. 81,294 people voted out of a total electorate of 110,224.

The final national result is now available on the Electoral Commission website.
