Community transport

Within this section you can find out the wide range of Community Transport providers from volunteer drivers using their own cars to groups that operate minibuses providing door to door transport for people who are unable to use other types of transport.

Community car schemes

These services are made up of volunteers who organise transport to and from hospitals in the Perth & Kinross Council area. The scale of charges depends on the mileage and cost of fuel.

Community minibuses

These services are made up of community groups who have made their minibuses available for use.

Perth & Kinross Council minibuses

Perth & Kinross Council has a number of standard (non-accessible) minibuses available for booking at various locations throughout the Council area.

MiDAS

MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme and is administered by the Community Transport Association (CTA).

Shopmobility

Shopmobility is a service that helps all people who consider themselves to have mobility problems (whether through disability, illness or injury) to continue to get around city and town centres independently, with freedom, confidence and dignity.

Community transport forum

The Perth & Kinross Community Transport Forum brings together representatives of third sector organisations involved in or having an interest in Community Transport in the Perth & Kinross Council area, to discuss issues of common interest, share knowledge and experience, and identify areas of good practice around issues of Community Transport.
