The main aim of Getting it right for every child is to improve outcomes for all children and young people.
Most children and young people will get all the help and support they need from their families, from the universal services of education and health, and the provision available to everyone within their neighbourhood and communities. There may be times, however, when you or your child might require additional help or support.
The Getting it right for every child approach ensures that every child or young person will have access to a Named Person. This is an identified professional whose job it is to be a first point of contact for you, your child and for any other person who may have concerns about your child or young person's wellbeing. The Named Person will be available to provide information, support or advice, either providing it themselves or by helping you to access services at the appropriate time and in a proportionate way.
