Security required for new roads

Anyone wishing to construct a private dwellinghouse adjacent to a new road must first deposit a sum to cover the cost of constructing the road. The Council will calculate the sum required and you will be advised of this in the conditions attached to your  Road Construction Consent. The sum can be in the form of cash or a bond.

If you wish to use cash, please submit a cheque made payable to Perth and Kinross Council. The money will be deposited in an interest bearing account. When the road is adoptable, the money will be returned to you along with any interest.
If you prefer to use a bond, there is  standard wording (PDF) [9KB]  which should be used. When the road is adoptable, the bond will be returned to you.
