If a member of your household is a full time student, an apprentice or youth trainee or has recently left school or college and is under 20 years of age or is 18 years or older and child benefit is still in payment you may be eligible for a discount on your council tax.
Students
A Council Tax exemption or discount may be available if you are a full time student.
School / college leavers
If a member of your household has left school or college and is under 20 years of age, you may be eligible for a discount on your council tax.
Apprentice or youth trainee
If a member of your household is an apprentice or youth trainee, you may be able to get discount on your council tax bill.
Spouse / dependant of foreign students
If a member of your household is a non-British spouse/civil partner or dependant of a student, you may be entitled to get a discount on your council tax bill.
