Improving the cancer journey - Questions and answers

What is the Perth Macmillan Improving the Cancer Journey service?

We are a free, appointment based service.  We will listen to your concerns and help you access the support you need.  We can help with a wide range of personal, practical and emotional needs.

Some of the ways we can help include:

  • Helping you find answers to the questions you have about your cancer and treatment
  • Putting you in touch with money and benefits advisers
  • Securing practical support, for example, help at home
  • Connecting you with specialist, community-based wellbeing services

How does it work?

Our Macmillan Support Facilitators will have have a conversation with you about the concerns that matter to you.  Ranging from money, fatigue, physical concerns, practical things like housework and getting about through to mental wellbeing.

Our team will be your point of contact to access the support you need.

Why is this service needed?

Cancer doesn't just affect your physical wellbeing, it can impact on every aspect of your life and the lives of those around you. But knowing where to turn for support isn't always easy. We are here to connect you to the right service at the right time for you.
