Fear-Less Triple P

Fear-Less Triple P is a parenting programme aimed at supporting parents with children experiencing anxiety. This group is for parents of children aged between 6 and 14 years old.

Who should apply?

Parents of children from 6 to 14 years of age who find that anxiety is affecting their child's everyday life.  You may notice your child is worried all the time, you may find you swing between reassuring them and telling them to face their fears.  You may worry that neither of these strategies are working and their anxiety is just increasing.  You may feel like you have tried everything and may struggle with anxiety yourself. This program is for families seeking evidence-based strategies to reduce anxiety and build resilience. You don't need a diagnosis for your child to benefit from the program—if anxiety is affecting your child or your family life, Fear-Less Triple P can help.

Fear-Less Triple P is a proven, practical parenting programme designed specifically for parents and caregivers of children and teenagers who experience anxiety. Whether your child is struggling with separation anxiety, worries about school, social situations, or just seems constantly tense or fearful, this programme gives you the tools to support them with confidence.

What is Fear-Less Triple P?

Fear-Less Triple P helps you set a good example of coping with anxiety, coach children to become more emotionally resilient, and develop your own toolbox of strategies. You can choose how to best support your child as they learn to manage their anxiety more effectively.

Fear-Less Triple P encourages you to use practical strategies with all family members, not just the child who seems especially anxious. In this way, the Fear-Less Triple P programme helps the whole family to reduce unnecessary fear and anxiety.

What can I expect from this programme?

Fear-Less Triple P groups are small, friendly, and supportive. They're run by trained Triple P practitioners and take place over 7 weekly sessions, either in person or online. You'll join a group of parents and carers who are navigating similar challenges, giving you the chance to learn, share, and feel supported in a non-judgmental environment.

Each session includes practical strategies, discussions, real-life examples, and time for your questions. You'll leave with tools you can use immediately at home—and the confidence to know you're on the right path.

How to apply

You can apply by completing a Parenting and Family Learning Team referral form (PDF, 94 KB) and emailing it to Parenting@pkc.gov.uk.
