Due to what is believed to a waste electrical fire at Friarton Depot earlier this afternoon, neighbouring residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed due to the amount of smoke.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are on site and the fire is under control. No injuries have been reported.
As a precaution Friarton Recycling Centre will be closed to the public for the rest of today, Sunday 19 May 2024.
Inveralmond Recycling Centre will be open until 3.45pm today however as the centre is already very busy we would encourage anyone who can postpone their visit to do so.
