We will be carrying out essential drainage repairs and road resurfacing on the A826 Pitillie, approximately 2 miles south of Aberfeldy, from Monday 4 November 2024 for up to three weeks, weather conditions permitting.
The works area is shown in red on the location plan below.
So we can complete the works safely and efficiently, and minimise disruption as much as possible, a road closure will be in place daily from 9am to 3.30pm on weekdays only, with no weekend working. Outside the road closure times, temporary traffic lights may be used to ensure site safety.
During the weekday road closure, the official signed diversion route will be via: -
- Southbound traffic: A826 - A827 - Ballinluig - (A9 south) - Bankfoot Interchange - B867 - (A9 north) - A822 - A826.
- Northbound traffic: A826 - A822 - (A9 north) - A827 - Aberfeldy - A826.
On waste collection days, residents should present their bins as normal, as collections have been arranged to take place outside the closure times Access for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout.
There will unfortunately be some inconvenience during the works, and we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
