Road Closure - Glenfarg B996

From Monday, 24 February 2025 for 8 weeks

Due to Amey requiring to close the B996 near Glenfarg for bridge repair works, public transport services between Glenfarg and Bridge of Earn/Bein Inn will be disrupted from Monday, 24 February 2025 for 8 weeks. 

During the closure, Glenfarg Community Transport Service 55 will operate via A912 Gateside between Glenfarg and Bein Inn/Perth.  Bridge of Earn and Perth Bus Station will not be served. Passengers travelling from Perth to Bein Inn/Glenfarg should instead board/alight Service 55 at Mill Street or Scott Street. 

Passengers travelling between Bridge of Earn and Perth should use Services 17, 36, 56, X56 or 65 instead.

Stagecoach Services 56/56A/X56 will not serve Glenfarg/Bein Inn during the closure but will operate via the M90 between Milnathort and Bridge of Earn.  Abernethy and Aberargie will be served as normal.

Service 56/56A/X56 passengers for Glenfarg will need to travel to Milnathort or Kinross Park & Ride and transfer to Service 56 shuttle service for onward travel to Glenfarg. Passengers using Stagecoach Service X56 to travel to Perth College UHI from Glenfarg will need to travel on the 07:55 Service 55 to Milnathort, South Street and then transfer onto X56 at Church Street.  A guaranteed connection between Service 55 and X56 in Milnathort has been arranged.

Please note that no connecting shuttle service to Glenfarg from Milnathort or Kinross Park & Ride will be in place for the late evening Service 56A departing Perth Bus Station at 22:35.  If any passengers require this connecting journey to Glenfarg please contact Perth & Kinross Council.
