Shortlist revealed for Perth and Kinross Apprentice Awards 2025

The spotlight is set on local apprentices and their employers as the shortlist for the inaugural Perth and Kinross Apprentice Awards is revealed.

The awards, developed in partnership with Perth and Kinross Council, Skills Development Scotland, Developing the Young Workforce Tay Cities, Perthshire Chamber of Commerce and UHI Perth, aim to highlight the value of apprenticeships.

The shortlisted entries reflect the commitment, talent and innovation demonstrated by individuals and businesses supporting work-based learning.

Congratulations to all of the finalists, with the winners revealed at a celebration event on Thursday 11 September 2024.

Award finalists

Foundation Apprenticeship Category

  • Gracie Forrester, Social Services and Healthcare Apprentice at Bertha Park High School

Modern Apprentice (SCQF Level 5) Category

  • Jamie Lean, Rural Skills Modern Apprentice at Highland Perthshire Communities Land Trust
  • Emma Whyte, Business and Admin Modern Apprentice at Perth and Kinross Council
  • Laurie Watt, Horticulture Modern Apprentice at James Hutton Institute
  • Dan Sewell, Customer Service Modern Apprentice at The Scottish Crannog Centre
