Road reconstruction works, A911 Leslie Road, Scotlandwell from 1 October 2025

We plan to carry out essential road reconstruction works on the A911 Leslie Road, Scotlandwell, between B920 Main Street and Bankfoot Park, starting on Wednesday 1 October 2025.

It is anticipated the works will take approximately 10 days to complete, weather permitting. A full 24-hour road closure will be necessary to carry out the works, due to deep excavations and the laying of hot materials when reconstructing the road surface.

The location of the works and the official diversion route (via the B920, C501 local road and the A911, and vice versa) are shown on the map below. Throughout the works, pedestrian access and emergency service vehicle access will always be maintained.

During the reconstruction of the road section,  Stagecoach Service 201 will be unable to operate along the A911 between Auchmuirbridge and Scotlandwell. Passengers in Scotlandwell should instead get on or off their bus on the B920 Main Street at the temporary bus stops at/opposite Friar Place.

Additionally during the works, on waste collection days, please present your bin as normal. However, planned collections on Saturday 4 October and Tuesday 7 October may be disrupted depending on the progress of the works. Should the garden waste collection on Saturday 4 October be cancelled, the alternative collection date will be the next scheduled collection. If the paper recycling collection on Tuesday 7 October is cancelled, the alternative collection date will be Saturday 11 October.

We apologise for any inconvenience as a result and we thank residents and motorists in advance for their patience while these essential works are carried out.
