Current status
All Perth and Kinross Council schools and Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) settings are currently open.
Proposed industrial action on Thursday 19 March 2026 cancelled
All schools will now be open on Thursday 19 March and Wednesday 25 March 2026 as normal.
Following negotiations between Scottish Government, COSLA (acting on behalf of all local authorities) and the Trade Unions, EIS has announced that it is suspending all planned industrial action in relation to the national dispute over Reduction in Class Contact Time.
