Tips for completing your application form
- When you start your online application, you can choose to complete it all at once or alternatively you can save your application and go back to complete it before the closing date.
- To ensure that you do not lose anything due to system timeout, you may want to consider typing your answers into Word and then copy them over to your application when you are ready.
- Make sure information in your application form is up to date. It's important that you list your current/most recent employment and at least three years's work history including time spent at school, college, university, career breaks, periods of unemployment, volunteering, travel etc with no gaps. This is part of our security checks.
- Is your email address correct? We use this to confirm receipt of your application and let you know if you've been selected to move to the next stage. Regularly check your email and spam account.
- Is other information such as your phone number and email addresses of referees, correct?
- Consider the job you are applying for and make sure you tell us which skills and qualifications you have that closely match what we're looking for.
- At PKC, our values and behaviours influence our work and support us in the delivery of our key priorities. In your application, and should you be invited to interview, you will be asked to describe situations that support the criteria required in the job and to give examples of how you display our values and behaviours.
- We want to know about your work experience but what else have have you done? Perhaps you've taken part in voluntary work, challenging projects, travel, sports or professional development that has given you valuable skills.
- Check your application for spelling mistakes and any other errors. No 'txt spk', please.
- You may want to consider downloading the role profile before the post closes as you will not be able to access it after the advert has closed.
Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback to applicants who are unsuccessful in being invited for interview.
Tips for applicants invited to interview

- Making a good impression at interview will help to make a lasting mark in the interviewers' minds. You may also find it helpful to find out what we do at Home. You can also follow us on our social media platforms, including, LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Listen carefully to the interviewer's questions. If you don't understand a question don't be afraid to ask us to repeat or rephrase it.
- Give relevant examples of when you've used the skills and experience outlined in the job advert and role profile.
- Bring all documents as requested in the interview invite e.g. relevant qualifications, registration documentation (SSSC or/and GTCS) and right to work in the UK ID.
