Get ready for an action-packed 2025 in Perth and Kinross

The year 2025 is set to be an exciting one for Perth and Kinross, with events that promise to attract visitors from near and far.

Nearly 400 enthusiastic runners launched the 2025 event season with the much-anticipated Great Perthshire Last Mince Pie Run on 2 January.

This festive event invites participants to embrace the new year with a scenic run on the picturesque North Inch before savouring their last mince pie of the season. Each participant was awarded a medal and new year resolution certificate, making it a memorable way to begin 2025.

Perth will come alive with the vibrant Chinese New Year celebration on Saturday 25 January, marking the Year of the Snake. Expect a colourful parade featuring dancers and dragons, bringing cheer to the streets of Perth.  The excitement will continue throughout the year with another summer of fantastic events being planned.

Our partners are also gearing up for an exciting year: Pitlochry will welcome back the Heartland Festival over the weekend of 28 and 29 June, featuring an impressive lineup including Nathan Evans and the Saint Phnx Band, Skerryvore,  Torridon and local favourites, the Crom. Scone Palace will host their first International Horse Trials from 21 to 24 August, the European Pipe Band Championships will make a grand return to the North Inch on 9 August and Perth Theatre will celebrate its 125th Anniversary alongside Perth Concert Hall's 20th anniversary with a spectacular 125 Live! big street party.

Provost of Perth and Kinross Xander McDade said: "It was fantastic to see such a great turnout for the Great Perthshire Last Mince Pie Run. With 2025 already off to a promising start, we're excited to host and support a diverse array of events that not only draw visitors to our stunning area but also bolster our local businesses, solidifying Perth and Kinross as a premier destination.
