This briefing note provides elected members with an update on an expected protest outside hotels providing accommodation to people seeking asylum.
Briefing Information
There has been speculation that another protest against accommodation for people seeking asylum may take place on Saturday 11 April 2026. No location or times have been confirmed. However, it is considered likely that a protest is being planned and, based on previous events, may take place at around 10am.
Appropriate resources and contingency arrangements are in place to respond to any protests.
A protest is planned to take place in Falkirk on Saturday 11 April at 1pm.
