Blue-lidded bin collections: paper and cardboard
The following items can be recycled in your commercial blue-lidded bin.
Paper
- Paper - clean and dry, free from food waste.
- Newspapers.
- Magazines, catalogues and directories.
- Junk mail.
- Letter and envelopes (including windows).
- Office and shredded paper.
- Paperback books.
- Glitter-free, non-metallic wrapping paper.
Cardboard
- Large and small cardboard boxes such as detergent boxes, cereal boxes and packaging.
- Brown corrugated packaging.
- Toilet and kitchen roll tubes.
- Glitter-free greeting cards.
Plastic packaging and items which are contaminated with food or oil, such as pizza boxes, must not be placed in the blue bin.
Bin sizes available: 140 litres, 240 litres, 360 litres, 500 litres, 660 litres, 770 litres, 1,100 litres, 1,280 litres, front-end loaders (FEL), skips or compactors.
Cardboard-only recycling
Customers who do not have space for a bin, can use the Green Label collection service. Green labels are pre-paid and can be used for around 12 flattened boxes placed in a secure manageable bundle at the kerbside from 7.30am on the day of collection. Customers will be advised about their collection date at the start of their contract.
Grey-lidded bin collections: mixed cans and plastics
The following items can be recycled in your commercial grey-lidded bin. Items must be loose and not bagged.
- All plastic packaging, including bottles, pots, tubs and trays, rinsed and squashed.
- Soft plastics including plastic bags, plastic films.
- Cans, empty and rinsed.
- Food and beverage cartons.
- Foil, including crisp packets which are clean and free from food marks.
Glass, bagged recycling, food waste, and contaminated packaging must not be placed in the grey bin.

Red-lidded bin collections: glass
The following items can be recycled in your commercial red-lidded bin.
- Wine, beer and cider bottles.
- Spirit and vermouth bottles.
- Soft drink and alco-pop bottles.
- Sauce, oil and vinegar bottles.
- Coffee, tea, cooking sauce and spice jars.
Please remove lids and tops and rinse bottles and jars contaminated with food. We do not accept crockery, drinking glasses, sheet glass, kitchen glassware such as Pyrex or light bulbs in the glass bin.

Brown-lidded bin collections: food and garden waste
Food waste
The following items can be recycled in your commercial brown-lidded bin.
- Fruit and vegetable peelings.
- Eggs and cheese.
- Raw meat and bones.
- Tea bags and coffee grounds.
- Bread, cakes and pastries.
- Paper napkins, kitchen paper and paper towels.
- Pasta, rice and beans.
- Cooked and raw fish.
- Cooked meats.
- Plate scrapings and leftovers.
We do not accept raw or cooked food waste and bins must not contain bottles, foil, cutlery, crockery, polystyrene, cling film or glass.

Garden waste
The following items can be recycled in your brown-lidded garden waste bin.
- Flowers and plants.
- Grass cuttings.
- Hedge trimmings.
- Leaves.
- Sawdust and bark.
- Small twigs.
- Weeds.
We do not accept large branches, logs, soil, stone, rubble, dog waste or any other type of waste in the garden waste brown-lidded bin.

Green-lidded bin collections: general waste
Commercial collections for general (residual) waste are for waste that is not accepted in our blue, grey, brown or red-lidded bins. This includes vacuum cleaner contents, nappies, medical waste, polystyrene, and takeaway boxes.
All types of non-recyclable waste, that are not classified as hazardous or special waste, can be disposed of using this service.
Hazardous waste is not permitted in your green-lidded bin. This includes batteries or items containing batteries, corrosive liquids, asbestos, and pesticides.
Bin sizes available: 140 litres, 240 litres, 360 litres, 500 litres, 660 litres, 770 litres, 1,100 litres, 1,280 litres, front-end loader (FEL), skips and compactors.
Customers who do not have space for a bin, can purchase trade waste sacks or our blue label collection service.
Trade waste sacks come in a pack of 50 and are pre-paid, and these can be used rather than a bin or as well as a general waste bin at the kerbside, to present side waste.
Alternatively, we can offer blue labels which you can stick on to light weight bulky general waste which is too big for a commercial waste bin. We will provide you with a collection schedule at the start of any contract or upon request. Once confirmed, the waste must be presented on the kerbside before 7.30am on the day of collection.

Self-catering collections
We offer flexible, reliable commercial waste collections for self-catering properties including guesthouses, bed and breakfasts and other holiday accommodations, all at competitive rates.
