How pricing works
Skip hire charges include delivery, collection and a 7-day hire period as standard, with extended hire available if required. Waste disposal is charged separately based on the type and weight of the waste.
Commercial skip hire is treated outwith the scope of VAT. Domestic skip hire is subject to the standard rate of VAT. Delivery and collection costs are based on the distance from Friarton Depot, Friarton Road, Perth, PH2 8DF.

Waste disposal charges (per tonne)
Tonnage is calculated as the total combined weight of the skip and waste, minus the empty skip weight. This will be recorded at Friarton Depot weighbridge once the skip is collected from your premises. These prices are exclusive of VAT.

If there is less than one tonne in your skip, you would be charged proportionally; for example, half a tonne of garden waste would be £19.75. Any mixed waste would be charged at the higher rate of material included in your skip.

Delivery and collection timescales
Timescales will be confirmed when you make your enquiry. We aim to deliver and collect skips as quickly as possible, depending on availability and location.
Important information on the use of skips
The skip must be able to be placed on flat ground. Uneven surfaces could mean that we are unable to deliver the skip. Skips must always be level-loaded, the contents of the skip should be evenly distributed so that the skip is not weighted to one side.
Hazardous waste is not permitted in your skip. This includes batteries or items containing batteries, paints, corrosive liquids, asbestos, fluorescent light tubes, and pesticides.
If any of the above waste is seen to be in the skip, we will not be able remove the skip. We will ask you to remove the waste legally via a special uplift or private specialised waste collector. If we find any of this waste when emptying the skip, we will add the charge for the disposal of that type of waste to the final invoice.
Soil and earth disposal may limit the size of the skip due to weight restrictions.
