The Procurement Team are working to promote and develop knowledge of the improvements good procurement can provide.
TPC is committed to achieving the Most Economically Advantageous Terms (MEAT) for each of the Tayside Councils.
MEAT takes into account ''Corporate Social Responsibility'' - the TPC will consider the following when looking at awarding contract:
- Sustainability
- Health, safety and welfare
- Environmental management
- Equality and diversity
- Ethical procurement
- Development of local economy/engagement with the local business community
The TPC's procurement programme will provide procurement guidance across all Council Services - it will improve the way it 'buys' all of the requirement of the Councils - this covers EVERYTHING from a 'nail to a new school'.
