The North Inch is the larger of the two inches in Perth and overlooks the River Tay.
The North Inch extends to an area of approximately 54 hectares and lies between the River Tay and residential areas. The Black Watch Museum can also be accessed from the Inch while nearer the city centre you will find Perth Bowling Club, petanque courts and table tennis.

The North Inch is a popular venue for major special events and festivals. The areas can also be hired for those Organising outdoor events.
Facilities
There is a recently renovated play area which is suitable for ages 4-14 years, although it is especially popular with young children. It includes a climbing wall and is overlooked by a distinctive wooden owl sculpture.
A cycle route uses the riverside path and connects the city with settlements to both north and south, being a useful and popular commuter route as well as a recreational resource.
Formally planted areas and memorial statues including the Albert Memorial, are concentrated at the south end of the North Inch near to Smeaton's Bridge with its nine dressed pink sandstone arches.
Toilets
The nearest public toilet facilities are in The Sandeman (11am - 11pm) and in the PKC offices, Pullar House (Monday to Friday: 8.45 am - 5.00 pm), both of which are on Kinnoull Street and are open all year round.
