Most settlements have a park, play area or other green space near them. There are also large parks and countryside sites throughout Perth and Kinross which attract visitors as well as local people.
Large parks and countryside sites
Our larger parks offer a range of attractions for all ages and are great places to host events and leisure activities. There are eight major parks which, due to their facilities and location, attract visitors from far and near.
Countryside sites offer a different sort of experience and are particularly good places to walk, enjoy views and look out for wildlife.

With fine view across Strathearn and towards Ben Chonzie, situated within an exceptionally picturesque landscape, MacRosty Park has been an attraction for over 100 years.
The North Inch is the larger of the two inches in Perth and overlooks the River Tay.
The South Inch provides Perth with some wonderful recreation spaces close to the city centre.
Kirkgate Park is location on the shore of Loch Leven next to the historic 17th Century landscape of Kinross House, and within the Loch Leven National Nature Reserve (LLNNR) .
Larghan Park is a large, 8.2 hectare park situated to the east of Coupar Angus and adjacent to the A84.
Victoria Park is Aberfeldy's biggest and most popular public park.
This park offers a good range of facilities for local people and visitors to the area.
Upgraded to a Premier Destination Park in 2023, Auchterarder Public Park now presents its visitors with a range of equipment for all ages and a huge sandpit to enhance creative play.
