Working  in partnership, Perth and Kinross Council, Live Active Leisure and the Academy of Sport and Wellbeing at UHI Perth are now inviting applications for block bookings of the indoor sports halls within Perth for dates between week commencing 18 August 2025 and week commencing 10 August 2026.

The application deadline, is midnight Sunday 29 June 2025.  No bookings will be confirmed in advance of this date, and no advantage is gained by submitting your request early. Any bookings received after the deadline will still be considered but those received beforehand will be given priority.  We will endeavour to have all bookings confirmed by week commencing 28 July 2025.

How do I apply?

Booking requests can only be submitted by completing the block booking request form.  Should you have any difficulty in completing this form, please email leisure@liveactive.co.uk for assistance.

Clubs/groups must ensure that ALL booking applications are submitted as one and coordinated by one point of contact from each club / group.  Multiple or duplicate applications from different representatives of the same club / group may not be processed.

What information do you need?

Before accessing the online form, we suggest that you gather and have to hand, all of the following information

  • What day(s) of the week / space / court / hall is required
  • Earliest possible start time each day
  • Latest possible finish time each day
  • Space required i.e. 1 Court, 2 Courts etc
  • Equipment required to be provided by the venue
  • Expected average number of participants at each session and their age e.g. Adult / Junior
  • Is the Club / Group PACES accredited or affiliated to UHI Perth
  • Any other information relevant to the specific request

Bookings will be prioritised on the following basis:

  • Priority Level 1 - PACES* registered Clubs.
  • Priority Level 2 - Locally based loose-knit organisations/casual groups (Perth and Kinross)
  • Priority Level 3 - non-locally based club with NGB Quality Mark or equivalent accreditation
  • Priority Level 4 - Other non-locally based clubs, loose-knit organisations/casual groups.
  • Priority Level 5 - Other bookings

Junior groups (aged 17 and under) will be given priority at the earlier times.  At all times PKC, LAL and UHI Perth will seek to maximise the utilisation of all the available sports halls.  As a result, we are not asking you to identify a preferred venue, and you may be allocated a slot in any of the venues listed that can accommodate your activity.

Where bookings cannot be separated via the criteria above, we will refer to the previous seasons allocation to reduce disruption to existing users and established routines.

We will make every effort to accommodate requests as closely as possible, however given the anticipated high demand it is inevitable that in order to accommodate as many clubs / groups as possible that we will require flexibility from everyone in terms of their start and finish times and in some cases clubs/groups may be offered an alternative day. Some groups may be asked to utilise different venues throughout the course of their booking.

We hope that you are assured of our intention to work collaboratively to ensure that available resources are distributed fairly and reasonably and that we can rely on your support through this process.

*PACES is the "Perth and Kinross Accredited Club Excellence Scheme" designed to help clubs operate efficiently and effectively.  To find out more about the benefits of PACES and how to become registered please visit the PACES website.

By completing the block booking request form, you will be considered for a booking in any of the facilities listed below. Your booking will be subject to the terms and conditions and charges of the organisation that manages your allocated venue.  Bookings will be allocated on the basis of the suitability of the venue for your chosen activity and not on a geographical basis.
