Perth's Chinese New Year 2026
Welcome the Year of the Horse as Perth city centre bursts into colour with traditional dragon dances, live music, arts and crafts, and a warm community spirit. We're thrilled to have Scottish Ballet joining the celebrations, who'll be inviting you to dance along!
The vibrant, colourful parade starts at 12.30pm from the junction at George Street and High Street, moving through High Street, King Edward Street, St John's Place and St John Street before returning to the Council Building at 2 High Street. Activities and events will be entertaining the crowds from midday to 3pm, where you can enjoy hands-on workshops, performances and family-friendly activities in the Council Building, 2 High Street.
Whether you're celebrating with friends or discovering Chinese culture for the first time, Perth offers a vibrant and memorable start to the Lunar New Year.
