13. Membership
(i) Live Active Leisure
The Council is asked to appoint Councillor M Williamson to replace Councillor J Coburn on the Board of Directors for Live Active Leisure.
(ii) Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust
The Council is asked to appoint a replacement for Councillor C Shiers on the Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust.
(iii) Tay and Earn Trust
The Tay and Earn Trust is an incorporated body having charitable status under the charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005. One of the primary aims of the Trust is the regeneration of the river Tay. The Trust has been working in close partnership with the Council's Planning and Regeneration Service and others and has produced the Inner Tay Masterplan 2012-2022. The Masterplan provides a framework for regeneration development priorities and some of the key projects include the development of pontoons, activity centre and park and ride. The Trust is in the process of strengthening its governance arrangements and expanding its Board of Trustees.
The Council is asked to appoint a member to the Tay and Earn Trust.

To oversee the work of the Adult Protection Committee in relation to the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 and all related subordinate legislation.

Education Appeal Committee
In terms of Section 28D of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 and in accordance with Schedule A1 to that Act, the Committee shall appoint an Education Appeal Committee comprising elected members who are members of the Lifelong Learning Committee, parents of children currently of school age nominated by either Parent Councils or Parent Forums, and persons from the Perth and Kinross area who have experience in education or are acquainted with the educational conditions in the area.
Any sitting of an Appeal Committee shall consist of 3 persons, no more than 2 of whom may be elected members. An elected member shall not be Convener.
