Purpose
To update elected members on the impact of a road closure between Broxden and Inveralmond roundabouts
Briefing Information
The carriageway between Inveralmond and Broxden roundabouts has been closed in both directions this afternoon following a road traffic incident. Police and emergency services are in attendance.
This is having a significant impact on traffic travelling through Perth and Kinross to and from the north section of the A9. Drivers are being advised to seek alternative routes by Traffic Scotland and Amey, which does mean that traffic is likely to be diverted through Perth city.
The Urban Traffic Control team are monitoring the impact of traffic and will alter our traffic signals where possible to help cope with this additional traffic. However, we are also advising drivers to be patient and expect delays within the city centre.
