Briefing Information
CIF will open for applications this week, with a closing date of Friday 18 August. The key change this year for CIF is that it will be administered through an online portal.
This year's CIF will improve the process for applicants, officers and Ward Panel members through the use of an online portal. Ward Panel members and officers will have access to the portal in order to administer the application process, make funding decisions and process payments. More information on the portal will be shared with members over summer and after recess. CIF will focus on projects that tackle inequality and deliver against the Council's Corporate Plan priorities. Panels will be encouraged to give greater weighting to groups who have not previously received CIF funding.
Ward Panels will be the main decision making body again and provisional dates will be arranged between w/c 28 August and the October holidays. Elected Members are
invited to encourage groups to apply and also encourage volunteering for Ward Panels. Anyone interested in joining a Ward Panel should contact cif@pkc.gov.uk
