Details
To update Perth City North, Perth City South, Perth City Centre, Strathtay, Strathmore, and Kinross-shire Ward Councillors on disruptions to bin collections in their area.
Briefing Information
We have been experiencing a higher than normal number of refuse collection trucks being off road for repair. Primarily as a result of a lack of availability of spare parts slowing down routine workshop turnaround times.
The result of this is that we have fallen behind with bin collections from Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week in the following locations:
- Letham domestic waste
- Bertha Park, Almondbank and Craigie green waste
- Scone and Gannochy domestic waste
- Perth City dry mixed recyclates
- Luncarty domestic waste
- Perth city, the Dunkeld Road area of Perth, Kinross and Milnathort green waste.
This information has been posted on Facebook and the Council website is currently being updated advising residents affected to leave their bins presented for 48 hours for collection.
We apologise for the inconvenience, but are optimistic that we will be caught up this weekend having arranged for additional crews to come in.
