Purpose
This Briefing Note provides Councillors with an update on Perth High School, which will re-open on Thursday, 25 September.
Briefing Information
Power supply issues affecting Perth High School have been resolved and it will open as normal on Thursday, 25 September.
Engineers from technical services company FES and SSEN attended the school following disruption to the supply on Monday and Tuesday. The adjustments made to resolve the intermittent fault which was experienced on the high voltage power supply were unfortunately not effective on Monday evening. However, further interrogation of the power supply arrangements were carried out yesterday and identified issues with the settings on the main circuit breaker. These settings were adjusted in conjunction with SSEN and power was successfully restored to the school.
Remote learning was provided to pupils while the school was closed.
Supported study sessions will be offered to pupils impacted by the closure this week.
