Purpose
This Briefing Note provides an update on an Incident Management Team meeting on Monday 5 February 2024.
Briefing Information
As advised over the weekend an IMT was held this morning to review the weather forecast for the coming days.
A yellow weather warning for rain remains in place until 9pm tonight, affecting the western edge of Perth and Kinross. Officers have been in discussion with partner agencies this morning and while we do not expect there to be a significant risk of flooding, in light of existing saturated ground conditions we will be closing the floodgates on both the South Inch and North Inch as a precautionary measure.
We will not be closing the flood gates at the Harbour but will have one of the nightshift crews on hand to monitor conditions and should the need arise, the flood gates will be closed.
