Briefing Information

As part of the 2023/24 Perth and Kinross Council budget a total of £226,505 was made available to community groups to help address cost-of-living and climate change issues in local communities.

The fund was allocated to Local Action Partnerships to distribute via a Participatory Budgeting process, transferring decision-making on how public money is spent to local people.

The Green Living Fund (GLF) was delivered in partnership between PKC Community Planning, the Community Learning and Development Team and the Climate Change Team.

The GLF opened for bids on 30th October 2023 and closed on 15th December 2023.

Screening of applications took place before projects went to the public vote on 12th February 2024 to 1st March 2024.

The winning bids were announced in March 2024.

This  evaluation report for the GLF participatory budgeting process (PDF) [656KB] contains some key statistical data and lessons learnt, which will be implemented in the next round of funding in 2024/25.
